Sarah Cooke, LCSW

Helping youth, young adults, and adults navigate anxiety, life transitions, and attention-related challenges with warmth and practical support. Serving clients in Louisville and across Kentucky via telehealth.

Find Your Balance, Even When Life Feels Messy

You’ve been holding it together — but lately it feels like life is moving faster than you can keep up. Between work, relationships, school, parenting, and constant change, you may feel stretched thin or unsure of your direction. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reset, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

Sarah works with youth, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, ADHD and learning differences, major life transitions, and identity development. Together, you’ll build practical tools, strengthen boundaries, and create a life that feels aligned — not just manageable.

Therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a checklist.

My Background

Sarah (she/her) is originally from Louisville and has lived in Lexington. She calls Elizabethtown home now while working in Louisville.  She holds a Master of Social Work, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a certification in Financial Social Work — allowing her to support clients navigating both emotional and practical stressors. She has a special passion for working with youth and young adults learning to navigate adulthood, as well as clients in and out of foster care, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals managing Attention and Learning Disorders.

Approach & Philosophy

Sarah strives to create a judgment-free space where clients can lower their guard, speak honestly, and work through what feels heavy. She believes therapy is never one-size-fits-all and tailors each session to what works best for you — whether that means structured tools, values-based goal setting, or simply having a consistent, supportive presence. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented, helping clients unlock their strengths and build a life aligned with their values and aspirations.

Fun Facts

Sarah shares her home with two dogs (Piper and Tucker) and a cat (Winston), who keep life interesting. Caffeine is her beverage of choice, and she loves reading just as much as playing video games. When she’s not working, she enjoys trying new things and exploring new places with her son.

Specialities

Sarah uses evidence-based approaches like CBT and trauma-informed therapy, tailoring each session to fit your goals and comfort level. Her sessions are relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping you build practical tools for everyday life
