About Kari

My Background

I am originally from New Brighton, Pennsylvania (about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh). Kentucky has been my home for the last decade. For my bachelor’s degree, I attended the University of Central Florida. I received my Master of Science in School Counseling from Stetson University and completed my LPCA license requirements through Murray State University.

My Approach & Philosophy

I utilize the following treatment modalities: CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and Solution Focused. Therapy is a partnership in which I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental place for my clients to explore their challenges and live their most fulfilling lives. I have experience working with all age groups in anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I enjoy helping my clients view things from a different perspective and providing them with additional skills, tools, and accountability. I am passionate about a holistic approach to women’s health and well-being and adolescent growth and development. There is a huge benefit to having someone to work with who consistently believes in you and gives you hope to overcome life’s obstacles.

Fun Facts

• I love spending time with the people I love.
• Reading, watching movies, going to concerts, playing games with friends and family are some of my favorite things to do.
• I’m a huge Steelers fan.
• Spontaneous dance parties and jumping on a trampoline are two of my favorite ways to unwind.
• I have lived in 9 different states.
