About Heide

My Background:

• My pronouns are she/her/hers.
• I was born and raised in a small Texas town!
• I attended a small college for my undergraduate and graduate degree.
• After graduating from college, I worked in an orphanage for a year.
• While working there, I watched children who had endured the worst kinds of trauma, some who could not speak, go through therapy and transform into children. I knew therapy could make a difference in people’s lives and desperately wanted to be a part of that world.
• My current hometown is Nashville, TN.

My Approach:

• My clients have described me as “authentic and genuine.
• My specialties include: Anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD.
• I am passionate about providing my clients with compassionate kindness and empathy. 
• I have had the fortunate experience of witnessing the drastic change that clients have experienced through therapy.
• I love offering insight validation and, at times, challenging clients to experience something different than the pain they experienced when they first started therapy.
• I am honored to hear about your experiences and to help you process life events in a safe environment.
•  I aim to deepen your understanding of yourself by diving into your past experiences and how they affect you today.

Fun Facts:

• I am one of 5 children.
• My early years were spent in the “deer capitol of Texas” (it has more deer than people).
• I love to read.
• I am a fan of doing anything outside. I garden every year, hike, run, ski, fish, swim, and even take moments between sessions to breathe fresh air.
