About Crystal

My Background:

• My pronouns are she/her/hers.
• I’m originally from the Lake Cumberland area.
• For my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I attended Eastern Kentucky University.
• I have been married and divorced, Started a career later in life, and learned boundaries and self-esteem/body image issues. I have grown from this and continue to learn something new about myself.

My Approach:

• In therapy, two of the most important things I tell my clients are “I am relatable” and “I want to see you grow.”
• My clients are why I work so hard at my job – I genuinely want them to feel they are receiving the best care possible.
• I utilize CBT, solution-focused, and strength-based techniques to achieve desired results. I utilize ART techniques to help cope with your trauma.
• Also, I utilize Gottman’s methods for healthier relationships.

Fun Facts:

• When not working, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, and taking photos.
• Traveling brings a lot of joy, and I do it as frequently as possible.
• I would like to own a bearded dragon one day.
• I often ponder the question: “What is my lifelong plan?” I usually have no idea, but I want to enjoy life in the moment and make the most out of it.
