Targeted Case Management is a Medicaid funded service that aims to eliminate barriers to treatment by addressing the social, emotional, educational, and vocational needs of clients. Case management is all about goals, so we do “how to have a goal” work and then come up with a plan for a goal to tackle right during that first month. This helps you grow in confidence.

Sarah is a connector. She can help connect individuals to social things, medical appointment needs, eye doctors, help make the calls, schedule meetings, find a job, find a house, work on a daily routine, figure out their budget… You name it and she will find a way to be of help. 

Kristen plays a vital role in connecting clients with the services they need, helping to remove barriers to mental health treatment. Passionate and deeply client-focused, she builds trusting relationships and tailors care by coordinating services such as transportation, housing support, educational or vocational assistance, and linkage to community resources.

Kristen is known for her warm and empathetic presence, someone clients feel instantly comfortable with. She believes in the power of collaboration and is dedicated to fostering hope, stability, and meaningful progress for every person she supports.

Jenn is the visionary founder of Resurgence Counseling Center, created from her passion for helping people overcome inadequate coping strategies and reclaim control of their lives. She launched RCC with a mission to empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals with confidence and clarity.

While her heart remains rooted in client care, Jenn’s greatest pride comes from the team she’s building. She finds deep fulfillment in collaborating with her dedicated staff to develop innovative, compassionate ways to serve the communities they’re proud to be part of. Jenn’s leadership is grounded in authenticity, purpose, and a relentless commitment to creating spaces where healing and growth thrive.

As Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Resurgence Counseling, Stephen plays a key role in shaping the growth and direction of the organization. He is focused on strengthening relationships with community partners and expanding services to ensure clients have access to the comprehensive, quality care they deserve.

Stephen is deeply inspired by the mission of Resurgence and finds motivation in seeing clients receive transformative treatment from professionals who are not only highly trained but genuinely passionate about the work they do. His leadership is rooted in strategic vision, collaboration, and a heartfelt commitment to making mental health care more accessible and impactful for all.

Stephen holds a master’s degree in Addiction Studies and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with a Healthcare Administration emphasis at the University of the Cumberlands. This advanced training further strengthens his ability to integrate clinical insight with business strategy, ensuring Resurgence Counseling remains at the forefront of mental health care delivery.

As Clinical Services Officer at Resurgence Counseling, Rachel is dedicated to upholding the highest standards across all clinical policies, procedures, and service delivery. She plays a vital role in ensuring that every aspect of care is provided with integrity, consistency, and fidelity.

Rachel’s passion for detail-oriented work shines through in her commitment to operational excellence. She is driven by a deep belief that quality mental health services should be accessible to all, and she works diligently to make sure community members receive the support they need in a safe, structured, and compassionate environment.

Chase is the administrative specialist for Resurgence Counseling Center. She is the first point of contact for many clients looking to schedule or ask questions regarding services here. She also helps to ensure that everyone is able to use their insurance to the fullest extent possible to minimize any unnecessary expenses for the clients. Chase loves helping people find ways of taking care of their mental health through therapy, exercise, art, or any outlet that works for them. Chase hopes people know that she genuinely cares about them and wants the best for them!

Chase is a graduate of Georgetown College and is a lifelong Lexington resident.  She is an avid reader, has four dogs and a cat, and grew up on a farm with all kinds of animals. Her favorite ways to relax are: going on a long walk with my husband and dogs, reading a good book, baking, or cleaning!

Jesslyn is the billing specialist for Resurgence Counseling Center and helps clients navigate insurance claims, billing questions, and account balances with compassion and clarity. She works tirelessly behind the scenes managing insurance issues and advocating for clients to help make the financial side of therapy feel less stressful and overwhelming. In addition to her administrative role, Jesslyn is also a therapist and earned her Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University. Her background in both clinical work and client support allows her to approach every interaction with empathy, understanding, and a genuine desire to help.

Outside of work, Jesslyn loves spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, shopping, and curling up with a good book or favorite TV show when she needs to recharge. She proudly embraces all things pink, considers coffee a daily necessity in all forms, and says Legally Blonde remains one of her biggest inspirations. Before entering the mental health field, she studied broadcasting and worked as a local morning radio show host — which probably explains the wit and sass her friends know her for best.

Hannah is the credentialing and administrative specialist for Resurgence Counseling Center. She works behind the scenes to help ensure clinicians remain credentialed with insurance panels and assists in managing EAP partnerships and other administrative processes that keep the practice running smoothly. Hannah is passionate about helping make mental health services more accessible and believes clients should be able to focus on their healing — not the stress of navigating insurance and paperwork alone. She values creating a supportive, welcoming experience for both clients and clinicians and is always happy to help however she can.
